Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a quote, and is it free?
Quotes, estimates, and visits to talk through a job are always free, and we fully expect you to ask. Hit Book Now or use the quote form on our Contact page, and we will take it from there.
What areas do you serve?
We cover North Fort Worth and Alliance, Keller, Haslet, Saginaw, Roanoke, Watauga, North Richland Hills, Southlake, Westlake, Trophy Club, Justin, and just about every town in between. Not sure if we reach your neighborhood? Give us a shout and we will let you know.
Are you licensed and insured?
We are insured, and we have to be, since our commercial customers require it. Texas does not require a state license for basic lawn maintenance like mowing, so there is no certificate to hang on the wall, but you can count on us to be covered.
Do you take commercial and HOA properties?
Of course we do! Businesses and HOAs get the same dependable service as our residential customers, just with more acreage and fewer garden gnomes.
Do I have to sign an annual contract for recurring mowing?
No formal contract required. Recurring service runs on a simple service agreement with no cancellation fees. We only ask for one week’s notice if you decide to part ways. We would rather earn your business every week than lock you into anything.
What day will my lawn be mowed each week?
We mow by neighborhood, so each area has its own regular service days. When we are working ahead of schedule, we may move your visit earlier in the week to make room for weather delays or bigger projects. Consider it the early bird special for your lawn.
Do I need to be home, and what about gates and dogs?
No need to be home. We just ask that gates are unlocked and dogs are inside before we arrive. Your pup is a very good boy, but he does not need to supervise the mowing. It also saves us from knocking on your door or calling, which keeps the whole crew on schedule.
Do I need to pick up after my pets before service?
Yes, please! We love our four-legged friends, but nobody loves stepping in what they leave behind. Please pick up pet waste before your scheduled service. Excessive waste creates unsanitary working conditions for our crew and gets tracked onto our equipment, clothing, and shoes. If a yard needs extra cleanup, an additional fee may be added to your service.
Is there a minimum grass height, and what if my yard is overgrown?
There is no minimum height, and we offer a scalping service for yards that need a fresh start. Overgrown yards do take extra time and elbow grease, so an additional charge applies. We assess it when we arrive, and during the quote process we may ask for photos of your yard’s current state so there are no surprises.
What is included with a standard mowing visit?
Every recurring visit includes mowing, edging, string trimming, and blowing off driveways, sidewalks, and other hard surfaces, so your place looks sharp enough to make the neighbors jealous. Extras such as leaf cleanup, flower beds, bushes, and yard treatments are available as add-ons and are included in our prepaid annual plans.
How do I add leaf cleanup, flower beds, or yard treatments?
Easy as pie. Click Book Now and follow the prompts. If we have questions or need a little more context on your project, we will reach out.
How do you handle North Texas rain delays?
We do not mow in the rain, and honestly, neither would you. Weekly mows that get rained out are skipped, unless your previous visit was also skipped, in which case we work you in as soon as possible. Bi-weekly and commercial accounts are rescheduled for the next available time. Prepaid annual plan visits move to the following week, or the next available slot if the prior week was also skipped. When Texas weather gets truly wild, we may skip the whole week and pick up the week after.
What if I am scheduled for a mow but my yard does not need it?
No problem. Call, text, or email us any time before your visit is marked “on the way” in our app, and we will skip that visit and cancel the invoice. Once our crew is on the way, the gas and labor are already spent, so the visit will still be billed.
How do I pause service when I travel?
Have a great trip! Call, text, or email us and we will skip your visits, no questions asked. Just keep in mind that if your yard is overgrown when we show up, an additional charge will apply.
What if I am not happy with the service?
We hold our crews to high standards, and if something gets missed, we will gladly send a crew back to fix it. Our crews are human, so now and then something gets missed or broken, and we treat those moments as teaching opportunities. Our promise: we will make it right.
How does billing and payment work?
Once your service is completed, we email and text you an invoice. Pay straight from the invoice link, where you will find several payment options. Scheduling and billing are managed through Housecall Pro, so there is no chasing down checkbooks.
